Eagles open Dallas Goedert’s practice window

The Eagles announced that they have open the practice window for tight end Dallas Goedert, who will return to the lineup just in time for the postseason.

Goedert was placed on IR with a knee injury in early-December, but was initially designated as week-to-week, so it didn’t appear season-ending. Now he’ll be able to return to the practice field and hopefully work his way back into things before the first round of the playoffs.

Sirianni said that it’s hard to know when they expect to have him back out on the field, they’ll need to see how things are progressing and how things look.

“It’ll be super important to have him back. He’s a great football player that has helped this football team win a lot of football games, so really excited for the possibility to get him back. Like I said, we’ll see when that happens, but it’s just good to get him back on the field and getting him practicing again, seeing him out there, because he’s a presence for our offense.”

Grant Calcaterra did a great job filling Goedert’s role while he was sidelined, so the Eagles are in good shape even if it does take Goedert a little more time to get back into the swing of things.
