Eagles practice squad tracker news: Signings, waiver claims, roster updates, and more
The Philadelphia Eagles’ roster is down to the 53-player limit after Tuesday’s cuts deadline. The tinkering is far from over, however, as Howie Roseman indicated.
Wednesday’s action involves the NFL waiver wire and the formation of a 16-player practice squad. The Super Bowl LIX champion Eagles rank 32nd in the claiming order (which mirrors the previous draft order), so, we’ll see if anyone of interest falls to their spot. The results will be revealed after the claiming period ends at 12:00 PM Eastern with practice squad formation beginning shortly thereafter.

UPDATES
All times Eastern.
[2:30 PM] – The Eagles officially announced 14 practice squad signings.
[1:58 PM] – The Eagles reportedly waived safety Tristin McCollum, which allows Charley Hughlett to be re-signed to the roster. The Birds are now down to just three safeties. Must not be too concerned about Andrew Mukuba’s hamstring injury? Plus, maybe a Marcus Epps reunion is in the cards? (Source)
[1:55 PM] – Former Eagles draft pick Ainias Smith will NOT return on Philly’s practice squad. He’s signing with the Carolina Panthers’ PS instead. The Eagles will be looking for a different punt returning option. (Source)
[1:34 PM] – The Eagles are re-signing long snapper Charley Huglett to the roster after cutting him on Tuesday. They need to open another roster spot to make this move official. (Source)
[1:33 PM] – Three more practice squad additions for the Birds: Kyle McCord, Brandon Johnson, and Andre’ Sam. Developmental QB, depth at nickel CB, and depth at safety/special teams.
[1:02 PM] – No Eagles players were claimed off waivers. Vested veteran Kendall Lamm did re-sign with the Miami Dolphins, however.
[1:01 PM] – The Eagles officially claimed Los Angeles Rams center Willie Lampkin off waivers. Fun add! He replaces Keegan’s spot on the roster.
[12:42 PM] – The Eagles are reportedly signing tight end E.J. Jenkins to the practice squad. He was on the roster bubble but there was no real need for the team to keep four tight ends PLUS a fullback. Jenkins figures to serve as TE4 behind Dallas Goedert, Grant Calcaterra, and Kylen Granson. (Source)
[11:49 AM] – The Eagles reportedly waived Trevor Keegan. They now have an open roster spot. (Source)
