Despite a late collapse that turned a promising season into a slight disappointment, the Philadelphia Eagles reportedly don’t have any plans to make a major change this offseason.

ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio said on Thursday’s episode of This Week in Pro Football that “there is no evidence” that Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is in danger of losing his job:

JAKIB Sports @JAKIBSports”I do not like to speculate about coaches losing their jobs, especially in Philadelphia… There is no evidence that I can see whatsoever at all that Nick Sirianni’s job is in jeopardy. None, and that would only come from the front office of the football team, and I don’t see any… pic.twitter.com/9KzAG9sR4n

After starting the season with a 10-1 record, the Eagles went 1-5 over their last six games. Philadelphia had the chance to clinch the NFC title for the second straight year, but back-to-back losses to non-playoff teams in the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants caused the team to fall to the fifth seed in the NFC playoffs.

While Paolantonio sounds confident that the Eagles won’t be making a coaching change, there is some speculation that Sirianni’s job is in jeopardy. ESPN’s Dan Graziano said on Wednesday’s episode of Get Up that a poor performance by Philadelphia in Monday’s NFC Wild Card matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could spell the end for Sirianni.

“I don’t think you should rule it out because I think if the organization decides it’s gotten bad there, you know, inside the building culturally, all that kind of thing. I think they’ve shown in the past that they’re not afraid to move on,” Graziano said, pointing to the fact that Doug Pederson was fired two years after reaching the Super Bowl.

In three seasons in Philadelphia, Sirianni has coached the team to a 34-17 record, three straight playoff appearances and a trip to Super Bowl LVII last season. It would be a massive surprise if the Eagles let him go after one season of disappointment.
