Eagles vs. Cowboys first quarter game thread

The Philadelphia Eagles are now 6-2 heading into their rivalry game on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.

After a more than questionable start to the season, the team has really gained some momentum coming out of the bye week, and made adjustments that are producing results. Jalen Hurts has been able to protect the football, the offense is ranked at the top of the league in explosive plays, and the defense has found ways to rack up sacks and interceptions.

Head coach Nick Sirianni has been riding a wave of surprising situational play calls, but he has an aggressive approach that is celebrated more often than not. Still, the Eagles have left a lot of points on the board as they attempt fourth downs within field goal range. Sirianni knows that the failure of those plays lies solely on him, but he has trust in those calls because he has trust in the players, and when it works, it’s worth it.

Hopefully the Eagles can come away with their first win in Dallas in years, and they can continue on this winning streak.
