Eiza González in Talks to Join Vince Vaughn in 20th Century Action-Comedy ‘Mike and Nick and Nick and Alice’
Eiza González is in negotiations to join James Marsden and Vince Vaughn in Mike and Nick and Nick and Alice for 20th Century Studios.
BenDavid Grabinski, who created Netflix’s Scott Pilgrim Takes Off animated series, wrote the script for the action comedy and will direct the feature that is heading towards an August start in Winnipeg, Canada.
While plot details are vague, the project is described as a buddy action comedy set in the criminal underworld that, according to sources, has a time travel element. In fact, sources say that Vaughn may be playing the two Nicks in the title.
Andrew Lazar, who last worked on true-life swimming drama Nyad, is producing.
González currently stars in 3 Body Problem, which hails from Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and True Blood producer Alexander Woo. Since its premiere in March, the show has been renewed for two more seasons and received six Emmy nominations.
Up next, González will be seen in the boxing limited series La Maquina opposite Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna. The show will debut as Hulu’s first Spanish language series.
In 2025, she will be seen reteaming with her The Ministry of Gentlemanly Warfare director Guy Ritchie for In the Grey, an action thriller that also stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Henry Cavill. She recently wrapped shooting adventure thriller Fountain of Youth, another Ritchie production that also stars John Krasinski and Natalie Portman.
González is repped by CAA, Linden Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen.
