Elle Fanning Demonstrates the Transformative Power of Bombshell Makeup
Life of a glow girl: Elle Fanning looked absolutely luminous at a screening of Sentimental Value at the BFI London Film Festival in bombshell makeup that brings to mind the swinging â60s. Weâre kind of obsessed.
Fanningâs blonde hair was gathered in a perfectly chic messy bun for the occasion, and we must applaud the decision to forego earrings, leaving her face the necessary focal point of the look. A lightly smoky eye and cherry-stained lips plus plenty of blush, a dash of bronzer around the temples, and heaps of highlighter all over have her shining like a diamond. Her makeup artist, Wendy Rowe, didnât reveal the exact products used to create this look, but you can see more angles on her Instagram for inspo. Weâre clocking additional lower lashes, no?

Fanning has such delicate features, itâs a testament to Roweâs skill that things still look balanced and not clown-like. Her lips are only slightly over-lined, her eyebrows emphasized only ever-so-much. Sydney Sweeney, for instance, could wear twice as much makeup and still look, in a sense, ânormal,â but for Fanning this is heavy, and it totally works.
