Emily in Paris Season 4: Wait ’Til You See Emily’s Last Fashion in These New Photos
Emily in Paris…in Rome? It’s real! As part 2 of season 4 approaches, Lily Collins is heading off to the Italian capital, leaving us with more questions than we have after an episode of House of the Dragon, although to be fair, most of our questions about Emily in Paris are about the clothes.
The Emily in Paris season 3 finale was quite explosive. There were no literal explosives, just…a canceled wedding, breakups, a pregnancy announcement, and more. It was the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers, and we will be impatiently awaiting what’s to come in season 4 until it drops on Netflix. While you wait for season 4, you might as well digest all of the information about it that you can, and for that you’ve come to the right place. It’s not Paris (it’s just a story on the internet), but we’re trying here!
Here’s what’s coming down the pike…
The trailer for Emily in Paris season 4 part 2 shows Emily kissing a new, Roman lover! The latest trailer shows Emily and Gabriel skiing in the French alps before the marketing savant jets off to Italy to get in even more trouble than before. She’s also got a new American colleague to befriend/compete with, and the whole Camille pregnancy situation is still…evolving. We can barely wait for more Sylvie one-liners.
The Emily in Paris season 4 teaser trailer is here!On July 22, Netflix dropped the first teaser trailer, which you can watch below:
In the trailer Emily appears to, at long last, be coupled up with Gabriel. Of course, there’s a tiny hiccup in their happily-ever-after plan, which is that he is expecting a baby with his ex, who is in love with another woman. And there’s the Alfie of it all too.
In the final scene of the trailer, Emily stands between her two loves at a masquerade ball, appearing torn. Will she choose Gabriel? Or will she choose Alfie? Over on Instagram some fans speculated that this love triangle will resolve with Emily choosing…herself.
“Ok, I have the feeling that she will chose [sic] herself at the end of the season…Hoping this won’t happen because it’ll be boring and predictable,” wrote one fan. Less than an hour after the trailer had been posted, this comment had more than 600 likes.
Choosing herself would be the smart—and feminist-approved—move, but if there’s one thing we’ve come to love about Emily, it’s her mess. And this isn’t the real world, this is a rom-com in a streaming series format! Give us sloppy love triangles and an emotionally immature heroine or give us cancellation!
Regardless of the outcome, we know that whatever Emily Cooper is doing, she will be doing it in style.
Are there pics of season 4?On June 5, Netflix released 12 new images from the new season, and let’s just say it looks as though Emily has added Switzerland on her list of places she visits in addition to Rome.
Shag pillows, hot chocolate, and the Swiss flag on pillows…hmm. Is a visit to St. Moritz or Gstaad in store this season?

And now we wait for the official trailer, which should come sometime next month. We’ll bring it to you as soon as we have it. Until then, read on for everything else we know about season 4 of Emily in Paris.
When was Emily in Paris renewed? In January 2022, following the premiere of the show’s second season, Emily in Paris was renewed for seasons three and four at the same time. Season 4 will premiere in August (see below), and we’re pretty confident there will be more to come.
When is the premiere date?Season 4 will be split into two parts with five episodes each. Part 1 will premiere on August 15, 2024, followed by part 2 on September 12, 2024.
Have they finished filming?Yes! The show wrapped its season in Rome, although they might have been filming episodes or scenes out of order.
Who is in the season 4 cast?Lily Collins will be back as the titular Emily Cooper, and there have been no announced shake-ups to any of the rest of the regular cast. More importantly, we’re keeping our eyes open for any new characters that might be introduced. Another love interest perhaps? When in Paris, one can never have too many. The only cast member whose return is unlikely is Kate Walsh, since her character, Madeline, returned to Chicago in season 3.
In a recent interview with Glamour, creator Darren Star said that he is not opposed to having Kim Cattrall join the show. “Under the right circumstances, definitely,” he said. “But I’m not a big believer in just stunt casting for the purpose of stunt casting. And for Kim as well, a role that feels like it’s the right thing for her to do. But I definitely feel like she would bring some great energy into the series.”
Cattrall attended the season 3 premiere, fueling rumors that she’s joined the series, although she was nowhere to be seen in season 3.
What is season 4 about? It’s safe to assume that season 4 will deal with the aftermath of the events of the season 3 finale. Star was intentionally vague with Glamour about the details as plans are still in the early stages. “There are definitely some ideas,” he said. “There’s nothing I want to tease, but there are definitely some ideas. It sort of turned over the ship a little bit, in terms of the characters and the relationships.”
But, on May 3, Netflix released the official season 4 description, so hold on to your beret: “After the dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding, Emily is reeling: She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed. At work Sylvie is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel shake-ups. Mindy and the band prepare for Eurovision, but when funds run dry, they’re forced to get thrifty. Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry is undeniable as they work together toward a Michelin star, but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of.”
Emily is heading to Rome.During Netflix’s live Tudum event on June 17, Collins couldn’t tease much about the fourth season, but she did tell viewers to prepare for a “Roman holiday.” Will this be just an episode-long adventure, or should we start calling the show Emily in Italy? It’s unclear, but Collins did promise that “Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris.”
This post will be updated.
