Emmanuel Dennis’ future in the balance as Blackburn Rovers get set for managerial change
Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis is set to get a new boss at Blackburn Rovers, as the current coach Eustace John has decided to leave the club, Soccernet.ng reports.
Dennis joined Blackburn from Nottingham Forest in a mid-season loan during the just-concluded January winter transfer window. The 27-year-old striker had to make the move after being relegated to Forest’s periphery.

Blackburn Coach Eustace threw him straight into the thick of things, as Dennis got his first appearance for the club in Blackburn Rovers’ 2-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup last weekend. Eustace’s decision showed that he admires Dennis and the Nigerian would likely play a big role in his team this season.
However, Dennis’ place in the team is now hanging in the balance. This is as Blackburn have revealed that Eustace has expressed his desire to leave.
The English tactician has already started negotiating with another Championship club, Derby County, and he could leave in the coming days. It will put an end to his 17-month stay at the club.

Most of the time, coaches have a say in the kind of player that their clubs sign. So it is expected that Eustace would have influenced Blackburn’s decision to sign Dennis.
With the English tactician set to leave the club, Dennis’ place in the starting eleven is now in the balance.
Once a new coach comes, he might not fancy Dennis in his starting eleven. And that could signal another spell on the sidelines for the Super Eagles striker.
As it is, Dennis needs game time, but if the new coach does not fancy him, it could be detrimental to his career. He will hope that the new Blackburn coach will fancy him and he will become a regular for the club.
