Enzo Lopes to Race with Toyota Redlands BarX Yamaha Starting at Anaheim 2 SX
Anaheim, CA Anaheim 2Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Enzo Lopes will be making his much-anticipated return to Monster Energy AMA Supercross this weekend. The Brazil native raced with the Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha team in 2020, 2022, and 2023 and had put in some great rides aboard his ClubMX Yamaha YZ250F. But he reportedly got out of his contract for 2024 in order to sign with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing on a supercross-only deal.
However, you might forget this because Lopes never actually lined up for a race. Dealing with issues after arm pump surgery, Lopes was nowhere near where he needed to be in order to race, so he never even made it to the races. In fact, Lopes has not made a 250SX main event since the Salt Lake City finale Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Showdown on May 13, 2023 (he finished 11th that night).
But now, Lopes has been brought into the Toyota Redlands BarX Yamaha program as a 250SX West Region rider, as he will make his return to racing this weekend at the Anaheim 2 Supercross. How will the 25-year-old do in his first race since May 2023?
“Toyota Redlands BarX Racing is thrilled to announce Brazilian rider Enzo Lopes as part of our 2025 250 West Coast @supercrosslive lineup! We can’t wait to see him bring his talent and determination to the track this season.”
