Eric Dier proves to be good luck charm as he cheers on Harry Kane and new Bayern Munich teammates to victory
Eric Dier will hope his Bayern Munich career will continue as it started, with all three points – although next time he’ll surely hope to be on the pitch.
The defender was in the stands on Friday night to cheer on his old mate Harry Kane and the rest of his new teammates, as they beat a ten-man Hoffenheim 3-0 at the Allianz Arena.

Dier has quickly settled in at his new ‘home’ after joining the German giants on loan from Tottenham early in the January transfer window.
The surprise transfer was expected to be a permanent one, but ultimately proved to be a loan for the rest of the season, when he’ll be either free to join Bayern for nothing or sign for another club with his Spurs contract due to expire.
For now, though, he’s enjoying moving from a Premier League top-four contender to one of the biggest clubs in Europe as they look to win a 12th straight Bundesliga title.
Following his arrival, Dier posted online that it’s taken no time at all to feel settled at the historic club.

And it appears he’s enjoying his new surroundings as he posted a selfie from the stands during Friday night’s victory, accompanied by the simple caption of a house emoji.
Dier had earlier teased his appearance for the game, writing on X, formerly known as Twitter: “It’s only taken 24 hours to feel the size and history but also the warmth of the club.
“I can’t wait to get to work and start this new journey. Thank you all for your incredible welcome.
“See you at the Allianz.”

He would have been delighted to see his pal Kane get on the scoresheet again, with the England captain netting in the 90th minute for his 16th league goal of the season and 23rd overall since joining Bayern in the summer.
That came after Jamal Musiala scored twice, with the victory seeing Bayern reduce the gap to surprise Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen to just one point in their winning return following the German winter break.

Kane’s goal also saw the striker add another record to his name, as he equalled Robert Lewandowski’s scoring tally at the same stage of the 2020/21 campaign.
The Polish goalmachine eventually set the record for the most goals scored in a single season in Germany that season with 41, which Kane is on course to break if he continues his blistering start in a Bayern shirt.
