Celebrity Kids Who Are Successful Like Their Parents
For some, life in the spotlight is a family affair.
From distant cousins Lenny Kravitz and Al Roker to father-daughter duo Eve Hewson and Bono, Hollywood is filled with shocking celeb relatives.
And Perfect Couple star Hewson shared some insight into what it was like growing up as the daughter of a rock and roll icon—including having access to his celebrity-filled phonebook. One of the perks to having a famous dad was the opportunity to take normal teenage fun to the next level—a level that consists of prank calling “Sexyback” singer Justin Timberlake.
“I like to take advantage of my circumstances sometimes,” the actress explained in a 2021 interview with This Morning, “and when I was younger, I stole my dad’s address book. I tried to prank call a few people, but Justin picked up, so we asked him trivia questions from the back of a cereal box.”Â
Other celebrity father-daughter pairs include “Ex’s & Oh’s” singer Elle King and SNL alum Rob Schneider, Parks and Recreation actress Rashida Jones and music producer Quincy Jones, along with Lily Collins and Grammy Award-winner Phil Collins.
And let’s not forget about the sweet mother-daughter bond between Zoey Deutch and Back to the Future icon Lea Thompson, who gives her daughter a lot of credit for growing up in the spotlight.
“She’s faced more adversity and I think she’s a strong and incredible person,” Lea shared with E! News in March 2022, adding that she’s “impressed” by how Zoey and her older sister, Madelyn Deutch, have managed to “navigate this business.”

Much like Zoey and Madeline, there are a few other stars that share the spotlight with a sibling. For Superbad star Jonah Hill and Booksmart actress Beanie Feldstein, acting must run in the family because the brother-sister pair makes quite the comedy duo. And if the last names haven’t given it away, Teen Witch star Robyn Lively and Gossip Girl alum Blake Lively are half-sisters who share the same mom—talent manager Elaine Lively.
But while these celebs kept fame in the immediate family, some familial ties took a little digging to discover. Genealogist Dr. Adina Newman—known on Instagram as My Family Genie—revealed Gypsy Rose Blanchard and the Vanderpump Rules alum Stassi Schroeder are allegedly related, dating back to the 1600s on their paternal grandmother’s side.

The Mask of Zorro star was married to the Fifty Shades of Grey actress’ mother Melanie Griffith for 20 years before they ultimately split in 2015, but that doesn’t mean the stepfather and daughter’s bond has been severed.
Johnson got emotional when she presented an award to Banderas at the 2019 Hollywood Film Awards.
“I come from a family of many a marriage and I got very lucky,” Johnson, whose dad is actor Don Johnson, said. “I got a bonus dad who I realized that, over time, is actually one of the most influential people in my whole life,” she said. “When I was six years old, my mother married a man who brought an unbelievably bright light and a whole new world of creativity and culture—and one remarkably magical little sister into our family.”
