Spring temperatures are melting prices at Amazon. The retail giant is hosting a new seasonal savings event this week called the “Big Spring Sale” (very apt), and it’s not just another iteration of its flagship Prime Day sale.
Here’s a rundown of everything you should know about the Big Spring Sale ahead of time, including which early deals are worth your money.
The Big Spring Sale is an all-new event featuring deals that revolve around “seasonally relevant items” and “warm-weather essentials,” according to a post on Amazon’s blog. That includes select sports and outdoor equipment, cleaning and organizing products, and certain electronics. (Amazon devices like Kindles and Echo smart speakers will likely receive some of the biggest discounts.)
In a deviation from Prime Day, Amazon’s biggest savings event of the year, the Big Spring Sale’s deals won’t be entirely restricted to members of its paid Prime subscription service. However, its announcement notes that members “will receive access to exciting, exclusive deals” as part of the sale. We don’t know what those are ahead of time, but it probably wouldn’t hurt to jumpstart a free Prime trial (if you haven’t already), if only for the free two-day shipping on anything you wind up buying.
When is Amazon’s Big Spring Sale?The Big Spring Sale will officially run from Wednesday, March 20 at 12 a.m. PST through Monday, March 25, with new doorbusters dropping every day throughout the event.
