Ex-NFL star slams heavyweight division as ‘overweight fat guys’ in wild rant after joining the UFC
Josh Hokit has gone viral for making several outlandish comments on Tuesday evening.
The former NFL tight end, who once played for the San Francisco 49ers, transitioned to MMA in 2023.
Since then, he’s won six consecutive bouts and earned a contract with MMA’s premier promotion.
Most recently, he competed for a place in the UFC on Dana White’s Contender Series.

The 27-year-old wore a stars and stripes bandana and sunglasses as he delivered a WWE-style post-fight interview.
“Me and my partner Dana White and I have decided to get rid of this unentertaining heavyweight division and instead we’re going to invent the Incredible Hulk division,” Hokit said.
The ex-footballer proceeded to list off the type of people he wants to fight. Most of them are sex criminals, but he angered fans when he took his bit too far by putting transgender people in the same group.
He added: “Line them all up. One by one, I’ll give them a good, old American beatdown inside the Octagon to show the world there are consequences for these types of behaviors in America.”
“I left the liberal, snowflake NFL to do a real man’s sport in a real man’s promotion.” 😂

Hokit made more offensive comments while speaking with assembled media members backstage.
“I see all these heavyweights getting cut,” he said.
“They bring nothing to the table. A lot of them are just overweight fat guys. Their fights are boring. They don’t even speak English.
“I feel like that should be a criteria, you speak English, and then you can be in the UFC. That’s how I would run it.”
Dana White Contender Series Week 2 Results Hokit and four other fighters got UFC contracts during Dana White’s Contender Series episode 2.
Every winner joined the UFC, in contrast to the first show of the new season, where MMA’s most powerful man snapped up just two fighters.
