Fnatic vs Team BDS Preview and Predictions – LEC 2024 Winter Season
Fnatic vs Team BDS will decide which team has a better shot at making into the top 3 in the Winter Season.
The 2024 LEC is rocking on, with SK Gaming still sitting at the top as the only team with a 3-0 scoreline! Behind them stand five teams – Fnatic, G2 Esports, MAD Lions KOI, Team BDS and Team Heretics – looking to take the top of the podium from the German squad. Fnatic and Team BDS will start Week 2 against each other, which should give us a clearer image of who can be the challenger of the best!
Fnatic vs Team BDS Preview
Fnatic
Fnatic had a slower start to the first week of the 2024 Winter LEC Season, as Karmine Corp made them work for their victory. Still, Razork carried the early game as usual with Noah stepping up late, while Oscarinin had a monstrous performance on K’Sante. On Sunday, the black and orange squad demolished Team Vitality with the lead of Humanoid under 30 minutes, showcasing that FNC can play fast if need be.
They couldn’t bag the perfect win however, as SK Gaming outdrafted, then outplayed Fnatic: Irrelevant’s Jax is scary on it’s own, but picking Renekton into it was a bold move that didn’t play off, while Nisqy and Exakick were also problems for the squad. Still, 2-1 is not a bad start at all, and Fnatic is on the right track towards the Playoffs.

Team BDS
Team BDS lost their first match, but against G2 Esports, that’s not extremely surprising. Adam and his teammates also didn’t look lost on the Rift, managing to maintain a 2k gold lead for the majority of the match, before G2 outmacroed them.
They didn’t falter, defeating GIANTX with a stellar Garen and Graves performance by Adam and Sheo, and an incredible Baron steal-stopping by nuc with his Orianna, that secured the victory for them. They closed the first week against Team Vitality, showing that Ice and nuc could be the carries of the team as well, which is a really promising sign, as they seems to be able to adapt to any opponent.

Fnatic vs Team BDS Predictions
While both teams finished Week 1 with a 2-1 scoreline, Team BDS had a more convincing performance. Their loss was against the best LEC team, they got First Tower 2 out of 3 games compared to Fnatic’s 1, and they showed they are capable of switching up their carries. While Fnatic is still very good, they tend to play a bit samey which didn’t change with the arrival of Jun.
Still, Team BDS can be a coinflip team, with a lot depending on nuc’s performance. If he can find a way to defeat Humanoid or Sheo can help him avoid solo deaths, Team BDS has a good chance of winning, but if Fnatic can play their game, they are the favoured team.
