Forgotten Man United player streets ahead of Jude Bellingham in surprising goal stat

Jude Bellingham is rightly earning plaudits for making the swap from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid look easy.

But there’s one ex-Manchester United player who can currently boast of having a better goal-per-minute statistic.

It’s likely Bellingham will be thoroughly unbothered because he’s enduring a sublime season at the Santiago Bernabeu for Los Blancos.

Bebe, though, can claim he has a better scoring ratio than the England star. Yes, you read that right.

With two strikes to his name, the Cape Verde international averages a goal per 90-minute ratio of 0.78, compared to Bellingham, who comes out at 0.53.

The 33-year-old is widely known for his ill-fated time at Old Trafford, after he was brought in for around £8.5million in 2010.

Though he featured just seven times for the Red Devils, netting twice, he joined Besiktas on loan before then signing permanently for Benfica.

Bebe, in fact, has impressed of late for LaLiga side Real Vallecano, despite scoring just twice in 14 matches.

He’s shining for Cape Verde at the Africa Cup of Nations, scoring a stunning goal from 40 yards out during their triumph over Mozambique last week.

Bellingham is in scintillating form for Real Madrid and is showing no signs of stopping since scoring an incredible five goals in his first four games for Los Blancos.

The 20-year-old now has 14 goals in 18 LaLiga outings, 18 in all competitions, this campaign after netting in his side’s last-gasp 3-2 victory over Almeria on Sunday.

Many are even suggesting he is the best player in the world right now, given his current form for Los Blancos.

Emmanuel Petit insists Jude Bellingham is ahead of Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane, and is the best player in world football right now

The winner of the European Golden Boy Award, Bellingham even recently beat Cristiano Ronaldo’s club record for most goals in a player’s first 15 games for the club.

Bellingham will miss Real Madrid’s next clash against Las Palmas due to his disciplinary record which has seen him pick up five yellow cards, but he will no doubt be back with a bang when he returns.

And you certainly would back the former Birmingham City youth graduate going on to break more records this campaign and land more accolades.
