Fortnite Festival leak suggests new “Music Battle” game mode

Leak suggests that players will be able to play a new Music Battle mini-game in the Fortnite Festival. Here’s everything you need to know about this mode.

Fortnite Festival may have only been released a few weeks ago, along with LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing, but so many things have already been planned for this Guitar Hero-inspired game mode.

Harmonix Studio’s Alex Rigopolous mentioned that Fortnite Festival is planned to receive hundreds of songs a year, adding to the number of playable songs in the game.

However, it seems like that’s not the only support this game mode will be getting, at least according to a leak. Dataminer BeastFNCreative revealed that a new mode called “Music Battle” is in the works for Fortnite Festival.

At the time of writing, there isn’t a lot of information regarding how this game mode works, but players are speculating that this will likely involve battling another team by hitting the most notes or reaching the highest score.

The same song will be played throughout the match and it’s also likely that we’ll see a separate scoreboard detailing each player’s performance on their instrument of choice.

So far, this leak has been well-received by players, especially on Reddit. “Fortnite has so much potential, I can’t wait to see where the game is even in a year.” and “Bring it on!” are just some of the players’ responses.
