Fortnite Landmarks – How to Damage Opponents and Full List

A current quest asks players to damage opponents in Fortnite landmarks, what exactly does it mean and how can you complete it?

Fortnite’s regular quests are a great way of getting players to engage with everything the world of Battle Royale has to offer. Sometimes though, they’re not clear. Like a current one looking for Fortnite landmarks

One of our currents quests is to deal damage to players in landmarks. Everyone knows what a POI is. They’re labelled on the map to make it nice and simple. Just like Fortnite weapons, it doesn’t take a genius to find them. Fortnite landmarks are a different issue though.

If you want to get the quest completed and be on your way to level 200, you’ll need to know how to damage opponents in Fortnite Landmarks. This is what the current quest means and how you can get it done.

What are Fortnite Landmarks?

Fortnite landmarks might sound a bit vague, but they’re actually simple. Landmarks come up all the time in quests, but usually it names a specific one. Nice and easy since they’re then marked on the map once you track them.

Landmarks are like POIs, but smaller.

We can roughly divide the Fortnite map into just a handful of different categories. There’s POIs. These are the big named locations. The best landing spots and where most loot is. Then there’s general space. Bits of terrain without anything going on, this is basically nothing.

The final one is Fortnite landmarks. These are points on the map which are notable. There’s something there, usually something with a name like the Windmill. However, they’re only one or two buildings or even a bit of decoration. It isn’t as big as a named locale, but still worth having an eye on.

Fortnite landmarks are all over the map. Since they’re not named you might not even know when you’re in is a Fortnite landmark. So how can you make sure you’re in a landmark when you’re dealing out heavy damage?

How to Damage Opponents in Fortnite Landmarks

That’s what landmarks are, but how can you damage opponents in Fortnite landmarks? This quest is really quite easy once you get it figured out. You need to have fights within a landmark, similar to damaging opponents in a specific POI.

Since there’s so many Frontier landmarks, this is one of those quests you could wait to auto complete. Just spend some time outside of POIs and hope it happens. That’s never the best way to complete a quest though.

If you want to speed things up though, there are some ways to be a bit more deliberate with your gameplay. Specifically trying to pull fights over to landmarks until you hit the damage thresholds.

Some of the POIs are natural spots for fights to happen. Later circles rarely drift over named locations either. So, if you’re in track to win a Fortnite game you might get some damage done at Fortnite landmarks on the way.

Sticking at a POI while enemies come to you can work, but you’ll have to pay attention to your tactics still. It’s not great to yield the high ground just to be closer to a landmark.

Quests like this can mean you have to play a bit differently for a while. Although, It still beats grinding on Fortnite XPs maps to level up at least. What are all of the Fortnite landmarks if you want to complete it simply?

Taking Fights at Fortnite Landmarks
Those are all of our current Fortnite landmarks. How to damage opponents in Fortnite landmarks shouldn’t be too difficult once you know their locations. Quite a few are already hot spots for fights.

Some that are regularly spaced and easy to find are train and gas stations. These all are landmarks. Taking any fights at these spots is probably going to happen if you hang around long enough.

Others are located just outside of major POIs, so they’re quite simple to draw a fight out too. The Railway station in the center of Reckless is great for this too. Between these you should be able to get this Fortnite quest done.

If you’re really having trouble, you could resort to using a bot lobby to get it done. Although, the bots are kind of hard to Shepard if you’re planning on luring several over to the Weapon X Lab for a massacre. Getting them done in live lobbies should be easy enough now you know where they are.
