All rank tiers in Fortnite

Now that you know that there are multiple ranked modes in the game, it’s important to understand that there are different ranked tiers or Fortnite ranks you can climb. Depending on how well you do on your first ranked match, you will be assigned to a certain rank. After getting your placement rank, you will then be able to continue to climb the remaining rank tiers.

There are in total 18 different Fortnite ranks and they are as follows:

Bronze

Silver

Gold

Platinum

Diamond

Elite

Champion

Unreal

Ranks from Bronze to Diamond each have three different tiers, while the rest only have one singular rank. Similar to how ranking in Dead by Daylight works, once you’ve reached the highest rank, you’ll be able to maintain the rank for the rest of the season. You won’t be able to derank and your ranked progress will be carried over to determine your position in the leaderboard.

When it comes to climbing up the ranked ladder in Fortnite, there are certain things that factor in the way you climb and earn tiers. For starters, if you’re playing with your friends, your ranked progress bar will be determined by the average performance of your team.

This means that every single player in the team, regardless of how many eliminations they have, will get or lose the same amount of progress. As for matchmaking, the game will use the player with the highest rank in the team to search for other players in the lobby. You can see how much progress you need left to be promoted to the next tier in a progress bar.

Meanwhile, when it comes to actually ranking up, it seems that the more eliminations you have by the end of the game, the faster you’ll climb. Of course, this is easier said than done, but if you know how to consistently become the last player standing, it should be a piece of cake.

Fortnite ranked rewards

Arguably, one of the things that make playing ranked in Fortnite worth it is getting exclusive cosmetics. Cosmetics that you earn from ranked are different from the usual Item Shop ones, as they cannot be bought. Similar to Victory Umbrellas, these rewards must be earned, making them perfect to show off your dedication to the game.

To earn them, you’ll need to complete the latest Ranked Urgent quests. Here’s a list of the latest Ranked Urgent quests in this current season.

That’s pretty much everything you need to know about how the Fortnite ranked mode works. Whether you’re playing Solo or in a Squad, playing ranked can help improve your game sense as you’ll be against other similar-skill players, in contrast to Battle Royale, which sometimes has bots in it. There’s also a bunch of rewards waiting to be unlocked, which will eventually become rare as they’re exclusive to each season.
