Fulham transfers, transfer news, table, fixtures, results and stats

Founded in 1879, the Cottagers – as this west London team are nicknamed – have the distinction of being London’s oldest professional football club. Despite their lengthy history, the club has not won any major honours. The closest it has come to laying its hands on significant silverware were runners-up spots in the 1975 FA Cup and the 2010 UEFA Europa League.

Currently playing in the Championship after suffering relegation at the end of the 2020/21 season, the club is managed by Portuguese boss Marco Silva. Previous gaffers who have enjoyed success at the club include the recently-departed Scott Parker, Ray Lewington, Bobby Campbell, Jack Peart and Bedford Jezzard.

In terms of playing personnel, a number of stars have donned the famous white shirt. Some of the names most closely associated with the club include keeper Edwin van der Sar, striker Louis Saha, Gordon Davies, Danny Murphy, the legendary Sir Bobby Robson, Ronnie Rooke and the late Senegalese defensive midfielder Papa Bouba Diop. Another name that will always be associated with Fulham is that of former owner Mohamed Al-Fayed. This wealthy Egyptian businessman, who also owned Harrods, ploughed large amounts of money into the club and helped return it to the upper echelons of English soccer.

Who owns Fulham?

Fulham is owned by Pakistani-American businessman Shahid Khan, who also owns NFL team The Jacksonville Jaguars.
