Kathryn Wagg-Bernier is one great example. Born and raised on her grandfathers farm in Maine, she is the fifth generation to live on that farm. Shes taken up the family business, raising vegetable gardens, flower gardens, berry bushes, and various farm animals.
Still, that has only made it possible for her to turn the pictures shes taken from her day-to-day work into a neat little childrens book titled Its All About Sally.
The star of the story is its titular goat, who has been one of the familiar faces on Kathryns farm for a long time. The story covers everything from her arrival on the farm to her hilarious attempts at making friends and how she eventually warmed up to her new home.
Kathryn found the inspiration to write Its All About Sally after seeing how much her own grandchildren loved to spend time with the farm animals when they visited. Wanting to teach more young readers about how much love and care goes into raising them, she decided to write a story to go along with her pictures and publish it as a childrens book.
