After teasing the project earlier in the year, Future finally gave his fans an update on Mixtape Pluto. On Monday (Sept. 2) night, he previewed a new song aptly titled “Lil Demon” alongside a pre-save link for the full-length offering.
“My demon in the cut / Go raid it after church / You movin’ wrong, we clutch / We slidin’, we sharing s**ts / Real rap, I’m trappin’ it up / Your ice on both of my sleeves / Then I was on them bells / N**ga think he set a key / Ferrari truck, the new one,” he rapped in the snippet.
Smatt Sertified and Southside, who have worked with the artist numerous times, are credited for the track’s production. Check out the clip below.
Mixtape Pluto will mark Future’s third LP of 2024, but it will be his first as a solo artist. In March, he and Metro Boomin unveiled WE DON’T TRUST YOU. The 17-song collection housed “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar, “Type S**t” with Playboi Carti and Travis Scott, and much more
The rapper-producer duo continued their winning streak with April’s WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU. The 25-track project introduced the J. Cole-assisted “Red Leather” and “Show of Hands,” which saw ASAP Rocky throwing more shots at Drake.
“I like to put them both in a playlist and shuffle whatever comes on, but I like the sequence of the first one better. I feel like it flows but then there are a lot of songs I love on the second one too,” Metro Boomin shared with NAV during their Wonderland interview.
The accompanying “We Trust You Tour” began in July and has swept through cities like Detroit, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Boston, Philadelphia and Toronto so far. Future and Metro Boomin have five more stops to go, including Sacramento on Tuesday (Sept. 3) night and Vancouver on Sept. 9.
