Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, Browns special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone will lead coaching staffs at 2025 Senior Bowl …

The 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl has its coaching staffs lined up.

Cleveland Browns special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone and New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka were announced Wednesday as the head coaches for the American and National squads, respectively.

“We’re excited to be getting two outstanding coaches with such great reputations leading our teams this year,” Reese’s Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy said in a statement. “I was part of the Patriots scouting staff that drafted Bubba Ventrone back in 2005 so I know how smart and competitive he is. Mike Kafka has already had numerous head coaching interviews over the past couple hiring cycles and many people I’ve talked to around the league believe it’s only a matter time before he gets one of those jobs. Our players will leave Mobile as better players than when they arrived after spending the week with these two men and their respective staffs.”

The Browns, who hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and the Giants, who have the third pick, are both likely to be in the market for quarterbacks, so Kafka and Ventrone will have an opportunity to see plenty of talented signal-callers, as outlined by NFL.com lead draft writer Eric Edholm.

Senior Bowl practices will be held from Jan. 28-30 (with coverage beginning at 3 p.m. ET on NFL Network and NFL+) at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. The game will take place on Feb. 1 (2:30 p.m. ET on NFL Network and NFL+).

Full coaching staffs for the Senior Bowl, which previously announced players who accepted invitations, were also unveiled:

American: Offensive coordinator, Giants running backs coach Joel Thomas; defensive coordinator, Colts senior assistant DL coach Matt Raich; special teams coordinator, 49ers special teams quality control coach August Mangin.
National: Offensive coordinator, Packers passing game coordinator Jason Vrable; defensive coordinator, Browns DL coach Jacques Cesaire; special teams coordinator, Titans coaching assistant Perry Carter.
