Star running back Saquon Barkley’s career night in the Philadelphia Eagles’ 37-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football caused many to wonder about how his former team feels about watching him excel.
While Barkley rushed for a career-high 255 yards to go with two touchdowns and 302 scrimmage yards, fans on social media couldn’t help but troll the New York Giants for letting him walk in free agency last offseason:
Jim Rome @jimromeNot to pile on, but the Giants are the worst team in the league and the Eagles have a legit MVP in Saquon. Nighty night, John Mara.
Zach Berman @ZBermSaquon Barkley has 302 total yards tonight.
The Giants had 245 total yards today.
Jordan Schultz @Schultz_ReportSaquon Barkley today: 302 total yards, 2 TDs
Giants offense today: 245 total yards, 1 TD
KevÃn @KevOnStageI’m no football expert but it looks like the Giants should have kept Saquon.

Colleen Wolfe @ColleenWolfeSomeone should have told the Giants about Saquon Barkley
Frank Schwab @YahooSchwabThe Giants turned Saquon Barkley into a JAG for years. This guy we’re all watching tonight, the one who has a serious MVP case. New York made him look like any old dude off the street. What a horrendous franchise they are.

Barkley’s incredible start has Philadelphia looking like one of the top contenders to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, as the team has now won seven straight games to achieve the second-best record in the conference at 9-2.
The 27-year-old has now rushed for 1,392 yards and 10 touchdowns through 11 games while adding 27 catches for 257 yards and two more scores. Sunday’s game marked the fourth time this season that he recorded over 175 scrimmage yards and a touchdown in the same game.
Unfortunately for the Giants, they continued reeling with a 30-7 loss at home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which extended their losing streak to six straight games. At 2-9, New York is tied for the worst record in the NFL.
To make matters worse, it was just last week that the Giants released quarterback Daniel Jones, who they chose to pay instead of Barkley.
The Giants will face the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day, while the Eagles will be back in action next Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
