Gigi Hadid Declares Ugg Season Is Going to Look Different in Fall 2025
While some consider pumpkin spice lattes the harbingers of fall, I wait for the first notable celeb Ugg sighting. This year’s town crier: Gigi Hadid.
On October 2, Hadid was spotted in New York City dressed in baggy blue jeans and a long cashmere coat. Though she was seen in some photos rocking her go-to satin green flats, she prioritized comfort on the set of Mindy Kaling’s new Hulu comedy Not Suitable for Work, switching out her Mary-Janes for camel-toned Uggs.
The pair in question appear to be the Ugg Classic Mini II in chestnut suede, which retail for $170 and are a departure from platform versions she’s favored. In recent years, we’ve seen Hadid in those ultra-trendy Ultra Mini Platform Uggs that have defined the brand since 2022, as well as elevated on their Tasman slippers and the walkable Ventura Daze collection. Now, it seems she’s grounding herself for fall 2025 while embracing this season’s toasty vibes.

Now that she’s officially declared Ugg season a go, let’s get back to how she styled the comfy boots. Instead of matching her footwear’s energy with cozy sweatsâwhich feature heavily in Hadid’s NYC wardrobeâshe went with next best thing: soft baggy jeans and a double breasted cashmere coat in chestnut and taupe chevron by her luxury knitwear brand, Guest in Residence.
But the real star of the show came in the form of a cow-print tote bag. After the leopard-printification of every clothing item in 2024, a more subtle animal print has been inching its way towards the head of the pack for fall 2025. From sneakers to jackets, cow print has become a popular way for minimalists and maximalists alike to embrace pattern while sticking to the warm, earthy tones that are dominating the current fashion landscape.
As per usual, Gigi Hadid proved you don’t need to sacrifice comfort in the name of style. In fact, quite the opposite is true.
