Guide: Microsoft Rewards & Xbox: How To Make 10,000 Points Per-Month

We know how amazing Microsoft Rewards is, but did you know that if you live in a certain region and you have access to all the MS Rewards benefits on offer, you can make around 10,000 Microsoft Rewards points per-month?

That’s the equivalent of almost £10 / $10 worth of free Xbox credit every single month! Sure, it’s not as much as it used to be (20,000 was very possible up until 2024), but £120 / $120 worth of credit in a year isn’t bad at all.

In this Microsoft Rewards guide, we’re going to break down how you can earn 10,000 points per-month with the help of Xbox, but keep in mind that certain offers are only available in specific regions and to specific users, so while we’re able to take advantage here at Pure Xbox, you unfortunately might not be able to.

So, if you want to know how to get Microsoft Rewards points fast, follow these tips and you’ll be all set.

Daily Tasks

Kicking off our Microsoft Rewards guide, here are some examples of daily tasks:

Bing Searches
Every day, once you’ve achieved Level 2 status, you can use Microsoft Bing to earn 90 points via PC searches, 60 points via mobile searches, and an extra 12 points for using the Microsoft Edge browser for some of these searches.

Bing Searches = nearly 5000 points per-month

Daily Set
Every day, if you log into the Microsoft Rewards dashboard on a browser or the Microsoft Bing app on Xbox, you can complete a daily set worth at least 30 points per-day, and you’ll get bonuses for doing this daily as well.

Daily Set = over 1000 points per-month

Daily Achievement
If you complete an achievement in any Xbox or PC Game Pass game, you can claim an extra 5 points per-day. This used to be 50 points until it was changed in November of 2023, so it’s sadly not as enticing an option as it used to be.

Daily Achievement = 150ish points per-month

Daily Play
If you play any game from the Xbox Game Pass library for at least 15 minutes, you’ll earn 10 points for that day. Obviously that’s not a huge amount, but it gives you around 300 points if you do it all month – better than nothing!

Daily Achievement = 300ish points per-month

Daily Streaks
If you access Microsoft Rewards on a (PC) browser, you may come across something called “Daily Streaks”, which allows you rack up 150 bonus points per-week – plus an extra 1000 when you’ve earned enough puzzle pieces.

Daily Achievement = 600ish points per-month + 1000 bonus now and again

Daily Check In
If you use the Microsoft Bing app on mobile, you can sometimes earn around 100 Microsoft Rewards points per-week as part of the “Daily Check In” feature, which simply requires you to hit the “Rewards” tab and then press “Day 1” (or whatever day you happen to be on) as part of the “Daily Check In” tab.

Daily Check In = 400ish points per-month (when it shows up)

Read To Earn
Scroll down a little lower than the “Daily Check In” feature on the Bing app for Android and iOS, and you may occasionally see an option called “Read To Earn”. Hit this, and you’ll be able to read a bunch of Microsoft Bing news stories for 30 Microsoft Rewards points per-day. This feature is targeted at certain users and only appears at certain times, so you never just know when it’ll appear…

Daily Check In = 900ish points per-month (when it shows up)

Xbox App Bonuses
If you’re in a region that has access to Xbox Game Pass Quests on the Xbox App for mobile devices, you can do a few things to get Microsoft Rewards points fast on a daily basis. Go onto the app, tap your profile image in top left corner, and then you’ll see what’s on offer. Playing a game of Jewel is a quick and easy task, for example.

Thanks to the old Play With Friends on PC quest, this used to be a very lucrative way to earn points, but these days it’s only giving out around 40 points per-day. Still, it’s definitely better than nothing!

Xbox App Bonuses = over 1000 points per-month

Weekly Tasks

Next in our Microsoft Rewards guide, here are the weekly tasks you can do to earn points:

Xbox Game Pass Quests (Weeklies)
Every month, you can complete a variety of Xbox-specific challenges called Xbox Game Pass Quests. These used to be based around completing tasks in certain games, but these days they’re more about carrying out certain actions (such as earning achievements) on a consistent basis. The majority of these are based around monthly tasks, but there are a couple of weeklies that should net you around 40 points per-week.

Xbox Game Pass Quests (Weeklies) = around 150 points per-month

Weekly Console Bonus
One of the great new Microsoft Rewards features for Xbox users is something called the “Weekly Console Bonus”, which rewards you for simply playing games for five consecutive days. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member you get another little bonus on top, meaning you can earn over 1000 points per-month (in some regions).

Weekly Set = 1000+ points per-month (in some regions)

Weekly PC Bonus
If you’re lucky enough to be in a region that supports it, there’s also a Weekly PC Bonus for Microsoft Rewards that works in exactly the same way as the Weekly Console Bonus, potentially netting you around 1000 points per-month.

Weekly Set = 1000+ points per-month (in some regions)

Weekly Streaks
A new Xbox Game Pass Quests feature for 2025 is the ability to rack up points by completing Weekly Streaks. If you play for five days in a week, you’ll earn around 200 points, and maintaining your streak throughout the month will unlock multipliers that increase the amount you can earn. Definitely a lucrative tactic in the long run!

Weekly Streaks = Up to 2000 points per-month

Monthly Tasks

Finally, here are the monthly tasks you can complete with Microsoft Rewards:

Xbox Game Pass Quests (Monthlies)
Every month, you can complete a variety of Xbox-specific challenges called Xbox Game Pass Quests. These used to be based around completing tasks in certain games, but these days they’re more about carrying out certain actions (such as earning achievements) on a consistent basis. You’re looking at an extra 1500+ Microsoft Rewards points per-month by doing this, but they’re a bit more of a grind than they used to be.

Part of this includes new Monthly 4-Pack and Monthly 8-Pack challenges for 2025, for which you’ll need to play a selection of Xbox Game Pass titles for at least 15 minutes each throughout the month. Long-winded, but very easy!

Xbox Game Pass Quests (Monthlies) = around 1500 points per-month

If you follow our Microsoft Rewards guide, you can make around 10,000 points per-month. As mentioned, this is after taking all the 2023 and 2024 reductions into account – the program has been hit pretty hard over the past few years!

The main downside now is that, as we said before, some of these offers aren’t available to certain Xbox users for a variety of reasons, and therefore your ability to earn 10k points might be limited. In any case though, if you live in a region that supports Microsoft Rewards, you should at least be able to make multiple thousands every month.

Hopefully this has been useful for you, but feel free to leave questions in the comments below!
