Hailey Bieber Commits to Spring’s Least Practical Bag Trend

Hailey Bieber is never letting go of the oversized clutch.
While popping into Sushi Stop with Kendall and Kylie Jenner on April 3, the 28-year-old model tucked a ludicrously capacious black clutch underneath the arm of her speckled fur coat and a casual white tank top, finishing off the oversized-everything ensemble with a pair of baggy jeans and pointed stiletto heels. This is far from the first time Bieber has stepped out with this type of bag in recent monthsânay, yearsâas Vogue writer Hannah Jackson points out. From 2021â2023, the model carried a collection of oversized clutches in neon colors and bold prints to go with equally eye-catching ensembles.

In 2025, however, she’s taking a more elegant approach to the trend, pairing black XL clutches with timeless pieces like classic trench coats and fitted blazers.

Fashion editors everywhere have been salivating over brand’s absurdly large Kisslock Clutch since its New York Fashion Week debut, dubbing it the ânext It-bagâ before it even made it to market. Need further proof? Carrie Bradshaw herself will be carrying the piece in the next season of And Just Like That!
