Halle Berry Brings Back Infamous ‘The Call’ Wig For ‘Never Let Go’ Screening

Halle Berry showed up to an early premiere for her newest film Never Let Go with a very special guest — her infamous wig from her 2013 film The Call.

Berry sported the wig from the thriller where she played a 911 dispatcher, and following the film, the A-lister caught much slack for the look. To turn a negative into a positive, Berry invited fans to sport their “best” hairpiece to the “special wig screening” of the post-apocalyptic movie.

“My fans SHOWED UP and SHOWED OUT!” the 58-year-old captioned a recap of the event. “You guys have been jokingly ‘dragging’ me for years about these wigs so we thought we’d have a little fun by hosting a few Wig Screenings for #NeverLetGo. This was so much fun and the wigs were hilarious. I appreciate all the love!”

Fans were seen wearing their best Halle Berry wig looks including frizzy pixie cuts, long tresses, blonde extensions, curly fros, blunt bob cuts, and more. Berry could be seen and heard telling the crowd who were very surprised by her look, “YOU get a wig! And YOU get a wig!”

Berry also expressed her gratitude for their participation. “This means so much to me that you guys would come out tonight, put on a wig, take the time [and] come support this movie I’m so proud of,” she said. “And you know, there’s another wig in it — another f**ked up wig,” she added.

In the Lionsgate film, Berry plays the mom of twin boys, who faces an evil spirit attempting to disrupt their livelihood. “Needing to stay connected at all times – even tethering themselves with ropes – they cling to one another, urging each other to never let go. But when one of the boys questions if the evil is real, the ties that bind them together are severed, triggering a terrifying fight for survival,” the synopsis reads.

Speaking of taking on the new role, Berry told The Hollywood Reporter, “Since I became a mother 16 years ago, playing these kinds of roles has wildly excited me. With this movie, it reminded me how I would protect my children with my life. We often say, ‘I would take a bullet for my kids.’ Would you take a knife for your kids?”
