Before the Denny fight was made, WBO and IBF middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly was reportedly offered a showdown with Sheeraz but turned it down.

However, the esteemed boxing writer claims they chose not to take the fight.

Instead, Alimkhanuly will box the undefeated Andrei Mikhailovich on October 4 over in Sydney, Australia for considerably less money.

Sheeraz could end up facing the winner if he continues on this trajectory.

The 25-year-old is currently ranked No.1 by the WBC and WBO while he is placed at No.3 with the IBF and No.6 with the WBA.
