Hell Let Loose Garrison and Outpost Explained

In Hell Let Loose, it is not only the weapons we use, such as the flamethrower, that are important, but also the structures we can build. In this article, in fact, we will explain everything you need to know about the Hell Let Loose garrison and outpost so that you know how to approach these structures. So, if you are new to the game and don’t yet know how they work, we recommend that you read this guide to no longer have any doubts about it.

What is a Hell Let Loose Garrison and Outpost?
Garrisons and outposts can be considered among the most important structures in the game. In fact, their purpose is to allow players to spawn after their deaths at a very specific point on the map, corresponding to these structures. For this reason, building these structures should be one of your first thoughts in the game (of course, you always have to pay attention not to get killed; otherwise, anything would be useless), because you will realize how very useful they actually are.

The game, in fact, gives you the possibility of spawning only at certain points chosen by it, which are often not very useful for what is happening in-game. In these cases, therefore, having the possibility of spawning directly near the heart of the action or near an objective to protect or conquer is the best thing. Furthermore, another very important thing to consider is that this will also save you some time, and trust me, it’s really worth it.

In other games of the genre, in fact, the distance factor is not so relevant and preponderant, but in Hell Let Loose, it’s a completely different story. The maps are huge, and the players move at real speed, so it could take you ten or more minutes to get to a location. This is certainly not a fun thing, besides the fact that it exposes you for longer to the dangers that are present on the game map (there will always be snipers lurking somewhere, ready to kill you when you least expect it).

But what is the difference between a Hell Let Loose garrison and an outpost? We said that both are used to be able to spawn at certain strategic points that you have chosen yourself on the map, but there is a difference between the two structures. Garrisons can only be used by your squad, i.e., the group of 2–5 players with whom you are a group, while outposts can be used by your entire team, therefore all 50 players present in the game.

How to Build Garrisons and Outposts in Hell Let Loose
Now that you know what they are and what the main difference is, you need to know how to build them. Let’s start by saying that garrisons can be built in green territories for 50 supplies or with two columns or rows in enemy territory for 100 supplies. As for the roles that are capable of building these structures, you will have to play as a Commander, Officer, or Spotter. Outposts, however, can be built anywhere on the map by Officers and Spotters and you have no constraints regarding supplies.

In the game, a player can only make one outpost or garrison at a time. If they want to build a new one, they have to go up to their existing structure and take it apart. And they can’t put up these structures too close to a teammate’s outpost or garrison; they have to be at least 200 meters away. Once these game structures are up, the other players, the ones on the opposite team, have a choice. They can either stand close to them and break them down themselves or use an explosion to destroy them. So, it’s like a strategy where you need to be careful about where and when you build these things and also be ready to defend or attack them during the game.
