How to redeem a Fortnite gift card

Before you redeem a Fortnite gift card, you want to make sure that it is eligible for your account. This is because Fortnite gift cards are region-locked, meaning that if your Epic account is registered somewhere else outside of certain regions, you won’t be able to redeem it. On the packaging of your V-Bucks gift card, you can check if there’s a country flag on it.

Assuming you’ve already made an Epic Games account, you can now redeem your Fortnite gift card. To do so, you’ll need to follow these steps:

Head to the Fortnite website.

Click the icon beside the Download button at the top.

Enter your email address and password.

Select Continue.

Click your account icon at the top, and select the V-Bucks Card option.

Scroll down and click Get Started.

Enter the code from your gift card. (Make sure you scratch the back of your card gently)

Click Next and choose the device you play Fortnite on.

Hit the Confirm button.

Now that you’ve redeemed your Fortnite gift card, you should be able to receive V-Bucks on your account. This is the case for PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile.

For those playing on Xbox and PlayStation, you’ll receive another code that you need to enter either on the Microsoft or Sony website. Once you’ve done that, the V-Bucks will be added to your account, and you can spend it however you want.
