Argylle is an Apple Original Film, though its theatrical distribution is being handled by Universal Pictures. Apple has announced it will eventually come to Apple TV+, though it’s yet to provide a streaming release date. As for a potential date, our best comparison is Killers of the Flower Moon, which came to Apple TV+ 84 days after its theatrical debut. This is far from standard for the company, as most of its films have hit streaming within a week of their debuts, but should Apple follow suit here with its next big-budget release, Argylle would come to Apple TV+ in late April.

Bryce Dallas Howard is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.
