How to watch Bill Burr host ‘Saturday Night Live’: Time, TV channel, live stream for SNL post-election episode
As an American institution for 50 seasons, “Saturday Night Live” has been home to some of the most iconic comedic performers and sketches in entertainment history. Under creator and producer Lorne Michaels, the late-night variety show has earned more than 300 Emmy nominations, covering everything from pop culture to politics.
Last weekend, John Mulaney hosted the pre-election episode of “SNL.” Vice President Kamala Harris appeared in the show’s cold open, one of her final stops before her Election Day battle against former President Donald Trump. Back in 2016, Dave Chappelle hosted the post-election episode when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, and he did it again in 2020 when current President Joe Biden beat Trump.
This time, Bill Burr has the honor of hosting the post-election episode of “SNL,” and he is expected to deliver a few jokes about Trump’s victory over Harris. It may seem like a tall task, but Burr thrives under pressure and will look to make the most of the situation with a stacked cast behind him.

Who is Bill Burr? What to know about this week’s ‘SNL’ hostBurr is a stand-up comedian and actor who has appeared in films and shows like “Breaking Bad,” “The Mandalorian” and “The King of Staten Island.” Burr has released several comedy specials in recent years, and he is the host of the “Monday Morning Podcast.”
Often described as a “comedian’s comedian,” Burr never hesitates to say exactly how he feels. He has garnered a cult-like following that has grown over the years, resulting in him going from comedy clubs to sold-out arenas.
“I’m always blown away that anybody ever comes out to see me,” Burr said (via The Nashville Scene). “I felt like I made it way back in 2010, 2011, when I was able to buy a house telling jokes, so I love doing it. It’s the thing that makes me the happiest, and I don’t take people coming to my show lightly.
“I know that they, you know, take time off from work, they got a babysitter, they spent money to come out here. My job is to make them laugh their ass off, and I think I’m really good at it. I also feel like I’m just starting to hit my stride, and I have a lot left in the tank.”
