The Tar Heels are entering Year 4 under head coach Hubert Davis after reaching the Sweet 16 in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The new-look roster still features an anchor, with senior guard RJ Davis back in the fold after averaging 21.2 points per game last season.

Memphis, which failed to qualify for the most recent NCAA Tournament, is hoping for better results under now seventh-year head coach Penny Hardaway. Tulsa and Texas transfers PJ Haggerty and Tyrese Hunter will likely be two of the Tigers’ top scorers this season.
