Tadej Pogacar has blown his rivals out of the water with back-to-back stage victories which has seen the UAE Team Emirates rider consolidate his stranglehold on the pink jersey. Tadej Pogacar is living up to the hype as he secured back-to-back stage victories at the Giro d’Italia to further cement his dominance.
The UAE Team Emirates rider has extended his lead at the top of the GC to two minutes and 40 seconds ahead of Dani Martinez (Bora-Hansgrohe) and Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers).
Can Pogacar forge more of a gap at the top of the standings, or can someone finally stop his charge?
This will be the last day for his rivals to cut the gap before enjoying a rest day on Monday.

Watch Stage 9 of the 2024 Giro d’Italia on Sunday, May 12 from 10:45 UK time on Eurosport 1, while you can watch ad-free on discovery+.
The UK coverage will be bookended by The Breakaway, presented by Orla Chennaoui, who has a string of esteemed guests joining her across the three weeks. Usual suspects Dan Lloyd, Adam Blythe and 12-time stage winner Robbie McEwen will return, with former Jumbo-Visma star Nathan van Hooydonck swooping in for the final week as Blythe resumes his duties on the motorbike in Italy.
