
‘I broke his face’… Joe Rogan reveals he severely hurt a fighter during a brutal sparring session
Joe Rogan destroyed a fighter who refused to give up during a heated training session.
In his career, the popular commentator has become just as synonymous with the UFC as any of the fighters. However, he’s much more than a mere analyst.
During his time in combat sports, the American proved himself a talented taekwondo and kickboxing practitioner. In addition, Rogan once scared off a group of thugs who attempted to rob him.
With that in mind, it’s fair to say he can look after himself, as a fellow competitor found out inside the ring.

During his time as a competitor, the striker frequently had to fight his heart out inside the gym as well as on fight night.
In an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, he explained: “Back then, I felt like I was a p—- if I didn’t spar with anybody who wanted to spar. ‘You want to spar? Okay, let’s spar’?
“So, you sparred with everybody. Some people you sparred with, some people you were like, ‘Let’s not hurt each other, then other people, you knew you were fighting’.
Guys get knocked out all the time. I saw dozens of fighters get knocked out in the gym. I did a lot of it. It was scary. You would be super nervous before class.
“You’re sparring three or four days a week if you’re smart. You have to stay sharp.”
On one occasion, things went a little too far, with the New Jerseyan, having to warn a fighter that enough was enough.
Rogan claimed: “I broke his face, and he wanted to keep training, he was still coming after me. I was like, ‘Dude, you’ve got to look in the mirror. His whole face had shifted.
“I hit him with a wheel kick in the cheek. He went out, his eyes rolled back in his head, he collapses. Then, he tried to get back up, slowly.
“He gets back up, and he’s like, ‘I’m good’. Then, like 30 seconds later, he wants to keep sparring. I’m like, ‘You’ve got to stop’. But he was just a monster, like a savage person.”
