Ghanaian highlife musician, Adane Best, says he has forgiven Kuami Eugene following previous allegations of copyright infringement involving the two artistes.
Adane Best had earlier claimed that Kuami Eugene recorded songs in the past, which he believes were inspired by his original works.
However, speaking in an interview on Asempa Showbiz Review, the ‘Wo Bre Na Wenya’ hitmaker acknowledged Kuami Eugene’s success in the music industry but advised the Lynx Entertainment signee to continue learning and growing in his craft.
“I have said it before… Kuami Eugene is good, very, very good, and I commend him. But he should keep learning. That’s how it’s done. He doesn’t have to think he knows it all,” Adane Best said.
Reflecting on the past issues between them, Adane Best stated, “If you know music, you can tell that most of the melodies he used were from my songs. I can prove it, but that’s not important now. It’s an old issue, and I don’t want to dwell on it.”
Speaking to host Kweku Adu Kumi, the highlife legend emphasized that he has chosen to forgive Kuami Eugene, saying he doesn’t want to make a fuss over the matter.
“I have forgiven him. I have wronged others before, so when someone wrongs me, like Kuami Eugene, I let it go,” Adane Best said.
