And KSI, who wanted Gib to lose, wasn’t happyThe fight created Misfits history as the organisation’s longest-ever bout during which Gib was crowned the winner via majority decision after eight gruelling rounds.

Misfits co-owner KSI didn’t hide where his allegiance lay during fight week, admitting numerous times that he wanted Gib to be knocked out.

He even called the Saudi Arabia native a “drunk donkey” on commentary during the main event bout.

But it was Gib who got the last laugh after having his hand raised in Doha as Misfits’ brand-new middleweight champion.

“Yeah! Right there. They said that this was called Misfits, but it was a mismatch. I smoked him.

“So there we go, we took his belt, this will be a nice door stopper and we’re going to enjoy it.”

KSI simply responded with, “Fair play, brother, fair play,” and the 28-year-old interrupted him by saying: “It’s nice to be the best.”

“Yeah, I mean you saw what Salt Papi did,” KSI continued, before Gib, hilariously added: “I don’t give a s***.”

Salt Papi knocked out King Kenny in the co-main event in the Qatar Super Card and admitted he would like to fight the winner of the headline card.

He followed up by saying: “How long do I have to be here for?”

“From meme to the best,” Gib said in his post-fight ring interview.

“I’m the best fighter in influencer boxing, I’ve taken out three promotions and I’m happy to be the Misfits champ.”

Gib boxed on the undercard of the fight major event within the modern crossover genre as KSI was victorious over Joe Weller in 2017.

He then outpointed Jay Swingler on the next major show the following year, which was headlined by KSI’s massive clash with Logan Paul.

KSI and Paul then went professional in their rematch, and not long after Gib followed suit by taking on Logan’s younger brother, Jake Paul, in the pair’s first pro bout.

The 28-year-old has since earned victories over social media’s biggest stars, including Tayler Holder, Austin McBroom and Jarvis.

On Thursday night, he cemented himself as arguably the most successful influencer boxer of all time, behind the likes of KSI and the younger Paul brother.

Gib and Slim had gone back and forth with plentiful trash talk in the build-up to their highly anticipated main event clash.

Slim was the better fighter in the opening rounds and popped Gib with a strong right hand that forced the latter to shake it off and respond quickly.

As the rounds went on, however, Gib’s endless stamina enabled him to continue relentless pressure as he started to pick Slim off, with ‘The Hitman’ getting slower and more rigid.

The fight ended after both men had give it their all and raised their hands in triumph, but Gib would have been more confident that he had won the bout.

Elsewhere on the Misfits card, Deji – KSI’s younger brother – overcame Dawood savage and Jarvis upset Ben Williams after the latter suffered an ankle injury and could no longer continue.
