‘I will not even train’… Darren Till blasts back at Misfits Boxing champion as he answers callout following KO of Anderson Silva’s son

Darren Till appears to have agreed to his first fight under the Misfits Boxing banner against one of their most divisive characters.

The former UFC welterweight title challenger left the promotion after losing to now-champion Dricus Du Plessis at the tail end of 2022. He has been training boxing ever since, and has been working towards a big name fight for the past couple of years.

Till made his boxing debut earlier this summer on a small influencer card in Dubai, which descended into chaos after he was attacked by his opponent after the fight causing a major brawl. And he now steps into the scene’s big leagues against Bellator veteran Anthony Taylor.

HUGE KO: Anderson Silva’s son viciously knocked out in Misfits Boxing title fight by Anthony TaylorAnthony Taylor viciously stops Anderson Silva’s son and calls out Darren TillOn Saturday night, Anthony Taylor defended his Misfits Boxing light-heavyweight title for the second time in a matter of weeks at the promotion’s pay-per-view in Dublin, Ireland. The American faced Gabriel Silva, the son of UFC legend Anderson Silva.

The pair shared a bitter build-up, but it was Taylor who came out on top after a grinding three rounds that resulted in a brutal third round stoppage. He landed a rare standing eight early in the third before a vicious knockdown that Silva barely recovered from.

“Hey, if you see this message, bring it. Floyd Mayweather, I’ll knock your little skinny a** out too, bring it. Because best belief, I ain’t going nowhere!”

Darren Till accepts Anthony Taylor’s calloutAfter allowing Taylor’s callout to marinate for a day, Darren Till took to X to share a video where he accepted the challenge. He teased a potential hometown show, although Bloody Elbow understands the bout is more likely to take place in Qatar in November.

“This is a message to Anthony Taylor,” he told fans in a brief video. “I don’t usually do this s***, but I’ve seen you call me out at the weekend. Well done on your victory, I will fight you anywhere, right now, whatever event Misfits want to put on.

“If they want to do it in my city and you want to try and knock me out in Liverpool then we will do it here at any weight, whatever date. You sir are f***ing s***e, and I think everyone else on it is s***e, I will not even train for someone like you. I will knock you flat out, okay?”

Darren Till’s boxing debut ended in chaos with in-ring brawlOver the summer, Till was due to fight former boxing world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson. However, a visa issue stunted that fight and when the card was canceled, he was unable to keep his spot on the hastily-arranged Paul vs Mike Perry card.

Instead, he took on an exhibition bout in Dubai under the Social Knockout banner. He faced MMA fighter Mohammad Mutie, who appeared to complain of being hit in the back of the head before quitting to allow Till a second round TKO win.

However, the fight wasn’t over there as Mutie went for the Brit, ending up with a brawl in the ring between both men’s teams. Eventually the issue was solved and Till apologized to the crowd at the Coca-Cola Arena before returning to training.
