Imane Khelif vs. Anna Hamori 2024 Olympics Odds, Time, and Prediction
Imane Khelif is arguably the most talked-about boxer in the world at the moment due to gender controversy. Even though born as a female, due to her elevated testosterone levels and (possibly) male chromosomes, sheâs accused of being a biological male who doesnât belong in womenâs boxing.
One of the people who accused her of basically being a cheat was her previous opponent, Italyâs Angela Carino, who abandoned their match after only 46 seconds. Khelifâs next opponent Anna Luca Hamori has no intention of abandoning the Olympics. Instead, the Hungarian boxer is ready to throw everything sheâs got at her opponent this coming Saturday.

If youâve been on social media over the last two days, you might have gotten the impression that Imane Khelif is a testosterone-fueled boxing machine that cannot be stopped. Well, thatâs not really the case as evident from her boxing record.
Khelif is 37-9 overall with just five wins by knockout. In comparison, the winner of the gold medal in womenâs welterweight boxing, Busenaz Surmeneli, has six wins by KO in her portfolio.
Imane Khelif is a female-born woman fighter, sheâs perfectly eligible to compete in womenâs sports from a gender point of view
Sheâs born a female, please do not belittle her achievement as a woman and call her a man. Itâs not right. This mass misinformation needs to stop. https://t.co/FSQOpxMQJG pic.twitter.com/Ft4kEz4Mxr

Speaking of the previous Olympics, Khelif took part in the lightweight tournament (with no gender controversy), reaching the quarterfinal stage where she was stopped by Irelandâs Kelly Harington.
Since moving to the welterweight category, sheâs been undefeated. She won 13 bouts by decision and one by referee stoppage. Four of those 13 wins were later declared no contest. Those bouts were sanctioned by the International Boxing Association (IBA), whose gender tests she failed. IBA used to sanction Olympic boxing as well, but in 2023, the organization was suspended by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Anna Luca Hamori Not Afraid of Khelif
Anna Luca Hamori is Hungaryâs first female boxer to take part in the Olympic Games. Sheâs 23 years old with a boxing record of 18-13. Whatâs interesting is that only three of her wins happened by KO/TKO. The last time it happened was in December 2023 when she beat her fellow Hungarian Jazmin Hollosi in what was only her third professional bout.
Hamori is 2-0 since the start of the Olympics, with a majority decision win over veteran Grainne Walsh in the first round and a unanimous win over Marissa Williamson in the second. Now, sheâs facing arguably the toughest challenge of her career when she steps into the ring with Imane Khelif.
Imane Khelif vs. Anna Luca Hamori Prediction
Imane Khelif might not be an unstoppable force as some social media accounts have been portraying her, but we do think sheâs a better boxer than Anna Luca Hamori. Our prediction is that sheâs going to win Saturdayâs bout, possibly by a KO.
