Country singer Ingrid Andress, who performed a memorable rendition of the national anthem prior to the 2024 Home Run Derby on Monday night, announced she is checking into a rehab facility.

In a statement on X, Andress said she was drunk during the performance and will enter a rehab facility for treatment.

Per Maria Sherman of the Associated Press, MLB spokesperson Matt Bourne said the league is not commenting on the situation.

Andress performed an a cappella version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Globe Life Field on Monday night. There were times throughout the song when her voice was cracking, particularly when she tried to hit higher notes.

The 32-year-old Andress has released two studio albums. She has also worked as a songwriter with artists like Charli XCX, Fletcher and Bebe Rexha.

Andress recently announced she would be performing two live shows on July 17 in Nashville and July 24 in Denver. However, her representatives told CNN’s Lisa Respers France that those shows have been canceled.

The Home Run Derby is one of the signature events of MLB All-Star week. It takes place on the eve of the All-Star Game.

Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Teoscar Hernández defeated Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., 14-13, in the final.
