Inside Vanity Fair’s Oscars 2025 Viewing Dinner: Watching Stars With Stars
Vanity Fair’s post-Oscars party is a swirling, heady event, so we like to watch the show itself in a more intimate setting—over dinner with some of the most fascinating folks (and movie fans) around. This year, VF editor in chief Radhika Jones’s guest list included Robert Downey Jr., Mick Jagger, Nancy Pelosi, and Cole Escola, for starters. Guests arrived at the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts just before the Oscars began, entering through a retro-themed, custom-built party space designed by Basil Walter and Will Cooper, which seemingly all of Hollywood would giddily take over just hours later.
Our dinner guests had cocktails around an expansive bar and in a cozy, sunken lounge area, then they moved into a chic dining room with zebra-print banquettes, where they continued watching the ceremony to see if their friends and heroes had struck gold. For dinner, chef Evan Funke served signature Italian dishes including lasagna verde, branzino al forno, and tagliata di manzo, along with Kosta Browne wine. After dinner, the dining room transformed into “Club VF,” where partygoers enjoyed Tequila by Don Julio and danced to music by DJ Ruckus & DJ Politik. The cast and crew of Anora were not the only ones who went home tired—and thrilled. Take a look…
