Is Justin Bieber Performing at the Ambani Wedding?
The wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant isnāt until next week, but festivities are already starting to rev up. Justin Bieber, rumored to be a performer at pre-wedding festivities, arrived Friday in Mumbai, People reported, further fueling speculation of whatās in store for the ultra-lavish celebrations.
All eyes are on Ambani and Merchant as they set to wed in a celebration slated for July 12 to 14 in Mumbai. The groom is the youngest son of the 11th-richest person in the world, Reliance Industries CEO Mukesh Ambani, whose net worth is estimated by Forbes at some $120 billion. Meanwhile, Merchantās father, Viren Merchant, is the CEO of pharmaceuticals company Encore Healthcare, and has a high net worth. Both the bride and groom work for their fathersā companies.
Bieber, whose wife Hailey Bieber is currently pregnant with the coupleās first child, was spotted in the city on Friday wearing a pink long-sleeved crewneck shirt and a furry red bucket hat. Justin Bieber is rumored to perform at the coupleās July 5 sangeet ceremony at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. The celebrationās dress code is reportedly āIndian regal glam.ā
The Ambani and Merchant families have treated guests and their communities to numerous pre-wedding celebrations. In March, more than 1,200 guests gathered for a three-day bash that featured Rihannaās first concert-length performance in eight years, a set by Akon, magic by David Blaine, and more. In late May, around 1,200 of their nearest and dearest, aged āsix months going up to 90 years,ā according to bride Radhika, boarded a cruise ship for a four-day voyage that featured performances by the Backstreet Boys, David Guetta, Andrea Bocelli, Katy Perry, and Pitbull.
Only time will tell who will provide entertainment at the actual wedding. The bar has been set high not only by the couple themselves at their pre-wedding festivities, but also by the weddings of Ambaniās older brother and sister, whose respective weddings featured performances by Coldplay and BeyoncĆ©.
Representatives for Bieber did not immediately return Vanity Fairās request for comment.
