Is Nick Sirianni okay?
Being a head coach in the NFL is not an easy job. Youāve got a hundred players, coaches, and staff to manage on a daily basis. Tens of thousands of fans giving you immediate job performance feedback. And even if you have all of that on your side, you still have an owner to deal with. There are worse jobs to have, but you have to be a sicko to want this one.
It seems to be taking its toll on Nick Sirianni. The vibes on the Eagles this year were already hanging by a thread, and then this happened:
Nick Sirianni shaved his head, ready to come out of the bye
āI know we’ve done the right things to put ourselves in position this week. We’ll keep tinkering with different things to try to put our guys in position. We did different drills. We had a couple different things withā¦ pic.twitter.com/jRBmUKgA3M

Narrator: the Eagles were not ready to come out of the bye.
Come for the Private Pyle look, stay for the word salad. If he showed up like that to training camp, fine. Itās hot in July and August. I get it.
But this is October. This is coming out of a bye. Those of us losing the war with their hairline know that if youāre Sirianniās age and still have a nice full head of hair, you keep it. He didnāt even go totally bald. This isnāt a shaved head, itās a cry for help.

Then he got into an argument with fans after ābeatingā the Browns 20-16. The same score the Raiders did. A closer margin of victory than the Giants had against them. The Eagles and Browns both averaged 2 points a possession on Sunday, the Eagles had two more possessions. The Eagles once again failed to score in the 1st quarter, their seventh straight game failing to do so. Deshaun Watson had one of his most efficient days as a passer as a Brown against you. You were tied with possibly the worst team in the league, certainly the most hopeless one, in the 4th quarter.
Youāre talking shit after that game? And then trying to spin it?
āYeah, we thrive off the crowd when they cheer for us. Thatās all Iāll say. When our crowd cheers for us, we thrive off of them. You know, we hear them when they boo. We donāt necessarily like it. I donāt think thatās productive for anybody. When they cheer for us and weāve got them rolling, we love it.ā
Criticizing the fans? Rookie mistake. Yeah, you got the win, but it was an empty calorie win against a woeful team. Do better or get out of the way.
Sirianni was always a guy who if he wasnāt the coach of the Eagles we would find to be annoying cornball. Heās looking more and more like just an annoying cornball.
