Issa Food Battle! Bun B Claims THIS City Has Better Food Than Atlanta (VIDEO)
Chile! Bun B is not all the way here for the food scene in Atlanta! Now, his opinion on which city has the better eateries is causing a foodie debate on social media.
Bun B Reveals Which City Tops Atlantaâs Food Scene
Bun B made it clear that Houston takes the crown over Atlanta, primarily in the food scene category. He spoke on an episode of the âHoney Drip Network & Aristotleâ podcast, released on August 6. The rapper shared why he thinks ATL isnât hitting when it comes to good eats.
âYâall just missing food,â Bun B said of Atlanta. âYâall just missing food, like yâall got great restaurants with ambiance and experience, and all of that, but ainât nobody momma cooking in yâall sh*t. I donât feel like that in Atlanta.â
He quickly suggested that he could be âdead a** wrong,â but the interviewerâan Atlanta nativeâalso agreed with Bun Bâs take. Additionally, the Texas rapper said the Georgia city doesnât know how to differentiate a restaurant from a club.
âRight now, I think Atlantaâs restaurant scene is too built around experience,â Bun B said. âThey want people to come in, and they want it to look like itâs going down and sound like itâs going down. People dancing and everything, but thatâs what youâre going for. Like you might get some wings and some mac and cheese, but youâre not really going for the full dining experience.âÂ
The host responded that Houston does the same thing. But the UGK icon claimed that Houston can âback it upâ with the taste of its food.
âBut thatâs the thing, our food can back it up because look at where we are. You got a lot of people that live in Houston who are either from or have deep roots in Lousiana,â B added.
When the host joked about âeverybodyâ saying Atlanta has ânastyâ food, Bun B clarified that heâs not calling the food gross. Instead, he meant to point out that ATL just â[puts] a lot into experience.â

Rapper Speaks On Similarities Between ATL & Houston
These days, Bun B said he thinks Houston and Atlanta are both known for their nightlife, calling them the âbest Black nightlife in America.â
âI think thatâs gotta do with a lot of Southern hospitality. You go to an LA nightclub; you donât feel welcome. You go to New York nightclub, if you can get in a New York nightclub. But in the south, we want everybody to come in and have a good time. I think the numbers work better. Obviously nightlife prices are inflated but not as inflated as like New York, or Vegas, Miami or LA.
He added that Atlanta and Houston have comparable âquality of lifeâ and âpretty closeâ costs of living. According to Nerd Wallet, the cost of living in Houston stands about three percent lower than the Georgia city.
