“It Was Completely Unexpected”: Gypsy Rose Blanchard Is Pregnant
âI know the rumors have been flying around for quite some time now and Iâm happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant,â Blanchard said on her YouTube channel. âKen and I are expecting our very first child come January of 2025. Weâre both very excited. This was not planned at all. It was completely unexpected, but weâre both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood.â
She said sheâs had cravings for things like like orange juice and has experienced âcrazyâ mood swings, but added that pregnancy has been a âbreezeâ overall so far.Â
She said she knows that âthere are going to be people that think Iâm not ready to be a mother,â but when she found out she was pregnant, nothing else mattered.Â
âAll that matters is making sure that Iâm healthy, the babyâs healthy, my relationship with Ken is healthy and we are moving forward in a positive way,â she said.
Blanchard rose to fame after she was found guilty in 2016 of aiding her ex-boyfriend in killing her mother. Blanchardâs mother, Clauddine âDee Deeâ Blanchard, was believed to have Munchausen syndrome by proxy, also known as factitious disorder imposed on another, is a psychological disorder in which a parent or caregiver makes up or causes an illness or injury to their child.
Right before the end of 2023, Blanchard was released from prison and her post-prison life has been documented on a Lifetime reality series. While Blanchard was in prison, she married Ryan Anderson, but shortly after she was released, they broke up and she got back together with Urker, who she was briefly engaged to while in prison.
She said she and Urker both grew up in broken homes â she was estranged from her father most of her life, and Urkerâs parents divorced, but they agreed that they donât want their child to be in that kind of situation.
âIt doesnât matter what we go through, him and I,â Blanchard said about her and Ken. âWhatever we face, weâll face it together because we have a baby now. We have something thatâs bigger than either one of us, so whatever comes our way, whatever arguments we have, whatever drama gets thrown at us on social media, weâre going to stick together. Weâre not breaking because we are a family now.â
