Jaguars taking trade calls on WR Brian Thomas Jr amidst second-year struggles

The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost two straight games to NFC West teams, the latst of which was a 35-7 blowout to the Los Angeles Rams. In light of this, along with the NFL trade deadline looming, the Jaguars are reportedly taking calls for arguably their best player.

Per The Athletic, Jacksonville is listening to calls for wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr.

“The Jaguars are listening on calls for WR Brian Thomas Jr., even if a move feels highly unlikely,” Dianna Russini reports. “They’re also shopping for defense.”

— Dianna Russini (@DMRussini) October 25, 2025Thomas has had a rough start to his sophomore campaign. A season after catching 87 passes for almost 1,300 yards, Thomas has just 27 catches in seven games and has only one touchdown.

There are likely plenty of suitors for the LSU product. The Pittsburgh Steelers have long been linked to many a wide receiver via trade as they look for a No. 2 to put opposite DK Metcalf. The Buffalo Bills could also be a team to watch, as their wide receivers are struggling to give Josh Allen any downfield targets.
