Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars struggled against the Buffalo Bills on Monday.
The Bills had their way with the Jags in a lopsided 47-10 win that dropped Jacksonville to 0-3 on the year.
Lawrence, fresh off an offseason in which he inked a massive five-year, $275 million contract, had just 178 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception, completing 21 of his 38 passes. He was eventually relieved by Mac Jones once the game was decided, and the backup quarterback completed five of his eight passes for 22 yards.
Whether Jacksonville’s disastrous game was a tribute to Buffalo’s strong play or a sign that the Jaguars are on their way to a bad year is up for debate, but fans weren’t happy with Lawrence or head coach Doug Pederson on Monday.
Nick Kostos @TheKostosTrevor Lawrence STINKS and you can’t fire the $300mm QB, so time for the head coach to go. Tomorrow.
Michael David Smith @MichaelDavSmithIf I had taken a quarterback with the first pick in the draft, and then signed him to a five-year, $275 million contract after his third season, I’d want him to be a whole lot better by Year 4 than Trevor Lawrence.
Chris Rosvoglou @RosvoglouReportTrevor Lawrence is grossly overrated.

Got CTE from playing Peek-a-Boo @doulbedoinkWas doug pederson ever good or did nfl teams in 2017 just not how to defend RPOs
John Frascella (Football) @NFLFrascellaSeems like this is going to be Doug Pederson’s last game as Head Coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Enough is enough. https://t.co/ckYxehKRJf
Amp Wigg @ShopTalkingWiggI like Doug Pederson, but he needs to be fired.
Walker Carey @walkerRcareyTrevor Lawrence has been horrible tonight (as he has been for much of his last eight starts) and the Jaguars have no chance of coming back to win this game.
It might be prudent for Doug Pederson to give him a beat in the second half and see if that will help him reset at all.
Calling Our Shot @CallingOurShotTrevor Lawrence might be the worst QB in the NFL.
Jaguars might be the worst team.

Coming into Monday’s game, Lawrence hadn’t had an ideal start to the season considering his huge extension this offseason. He had 382 passing yards and just one touchdown through the first two games of the season, which were losses to the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns.
While it’s still early in the year and both Lawrence and Pederson have time to turn things around, Monday’s performance is not a good indication as to what kind of season the Jags are headed toward.
