Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones has reached a resolution in his legal case following his November arrest.

Per ESPN’s Michael DiRocco, court records show that the Florida state attorney’s office declined to pursue a misdemeanor domestic battery charge against Jones on Tuesday.

Assistant State Attorney Maria Theresa Ryan wrote in a disposition notice that “after reviewing the evidence in the above-styled case, the undersigned Assistant State Attorney declines to prosecute this defendant for these charges.” The notice was filed Tuesday, and Jones’ arraignment that was scheduled for Wednesday was canceled.

An arrest and booking report showed that Jones was arrested on Nov. 13 and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery following an argument with the mother of his child that allegedly resulted in an injury to her neck. The woman alleged in the report that Jones became angry and an argument ensued because she wanted to take her child back to Orlando from his Jacksonville apartment.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office deputy noted in the report that he “observed several small scratches on the victim’s neck, consistent with marks from a fingernail.” Other details of the alleged battery were redacted from the report.

Jones appeared in nine games for the Jaguars last season and recorded 34 catches for 321 yards and two touchdowns. He is entering the final year of a three-year $24 million deal and will count for a $10.7 million cap hit during the 2024 season.
