ā€œObviously, I needed to adapt a little bit from the first round, whichĀ we did. We adapted and came away with a win. I think the main thing I showed is that no matter if itā€™s the tallest guy in the division, like Phil, or the shortest guy, like Darrius Flowers, after the first round, Iā€™ll adapt and Iā€™ll win.

ā€œI hate winning by decision. Itā€™s good. At the day, youā€™ve got a family ā€“ youā€™ve got to put food on the table, and itā€™s still a win on the board. But to me, this is war. Iā€™ve completely changed my mindset to this being a sport. Weā€™re martial artists. Martial arts is a religion. What we do is war. Itā€™s battle. Youā€™re winning by points, it means nothing to me. Realistically, if weā€™re out in the real world, if I put a choke on, Iā€™m not letting go until thereā€™s no life left in you. If I knock you out, same deal. SoĀ winning by decision, itā€™s not the best. But again, we adapted, we pushed through, we came out with a win.ā€
