Jalen Hurts wanted to run up the score a little more on the Chiefs in the Super Bowl
The Philadelphia Eagles finally released their own Super Bowl Micâd Up video and itâs everything you need nearly a month since the victory. With free agency less than a week away, itâs the perfect time to reflect again on how special this group was and how close their bond became. There were still so many new moments revealed, including Jalen Hurts wanting to run the score up a bit more late in the fourth quarter.
It was pretty incredible to watch Jalen Hurts go up to Nick Sirianni to make sure the head coach really wanted to pull the starters near the end of the game. When Sirianni realized the heft of the situation, he turned to Hurts to celebrate the moment and what it meant.
âSIRIANNI: Love you, man.
HURTS: Love you, too.â
The QB then went on to tell the bench if they had hit 50 he wouldâve let it ride, with Saquon Barkley pointing out they were already up 40-something points. DeVonta Smith chimed in with a smile seeing Hurts want to rub it in a little.
âSMITH: Kick âem when they down.
HURTS: Iâm saying, though.â
Later on, as the green and black confetti started falling, Jalen Hurts was surrounded by media members and staff and had a moment of reflection to a different outcome two years ago, âThem the colors they supposed to be.â
Here are some other random thoughts and highlights from the Eaglesâ Super Bowl Micâd Up:
I love that itâs nearly 25 minutes long because they didnât leave anything out and I want to re-live it a hundred times.
Hard to watch this and not see how much Saquon Barkley and Zack Baun are leaders on this team and deserve their new contracts.
I donât want to lose Josh Sweat.
I forgot that Nicholas Morrow was back, but I think itâs cool he got a ring.
Nick Sirianni asking if Milton Williamsâ strip sack celebration was at least a good dunk was a moment to appreciate.
All the players near the end of the game showing appreciation for each other was really special.
